The Alleys of Istanbul

2022.05.10-12

One of my favorite things to do in new cities is to try and find people going about their everyday business, away from the tourist traps and manicured streets. It's often grittier, simpler, and somehow comforting. Usually, that means wandering into the alleys, and seeing what I find. (Okay, not all of these pics are actually alleys, but most are.)

No matter the city, I'm reminded that my Heavenly Father graciously provides all people with life and sustenance. It also reminds me to pray that He would raise up workers for the harvest, for there is so much work to do, and so much. Turkey has approximately 10,000 Evangelical Protestants, out of a population of 84 million (0.01%). This is the cradle of Christianity; may the Lord again bring mercy upon this land.
