The Three Offices of Jesus Christ

Christ is prophet, priest, and king.  But He was more than just a prophet, just a priest, and just a king.  Prophets spoke a word from God.  Jesus is the Word of God.  Priests brought the people to God through a sacrifice.  Jesus is both the One who sacrifices and the sacrifice.  Kings ruled by authority from God.  Jesus rules as King as God. Thus, Christ is not only the fulfillment of the three offices of the Messiah (aka Christ aka Anointed One); He exceeds them all.
