But I do know this. That night, I died to myself. And, He caused me to be born again. God brought me peace through His incredible grace. Jesus’ death for my sins and resurrection for my salvation seemed almost unbelievable.

So, then, if baptism by water can contribute nothing to my salvation in Christ Jesus, why be baptized at all?

I have a challenge for you. Can you sing this?“Jesus, I my cross have taken,
 All to leave and follow Thee.
 Destitute, despised, forsaken,
 Thou from hence my all shall be. 
Perish every fond ambition,
 All I’ve sought or hoped or known. 
Yet how rich is my condition!
 God and heaven are still my own.”
